The KOSTAL Group, a global manufacturer of electronic and mechatronic products, faced a challenge with its complex, Excel-based change management processes. To modernize, they partnered with CONTACT Software and leveraged its CIM Database PLM platform to develop a new global solution.

CONTACT Software implemented a holistic change management approach centered on its CIM Database, which was deeply integrated with Kostal's SAP system and other enterprise applications like Jira. The solution automated workflows, provided a clear overview of all change statuses, and supported various change types. This has significantly accelerated lead times for implementing changes, improved planning, and enhanced transparency for project teams and management, although specific quantitative benefits were not yet finalized at the time of publication.
