Kiekert systematically expands PLM solution – project management, material data and simulation management added since launch

Kiekert, a global manufacturer of automotive latch systems, faced the challenge of managing complex, global development projects with an outdated PDM system that lacked multi-CAD capabilities and could not support their interdisciplinary collaboration needs. To master this complexity and improve efficiency, they selected the CIM Database PLM solution from CONTACT Software, which is built on the modular Elements platform.

CONTACT Software implemented the new PLM system using an agile approach, enabling a successful "big bang" rollout across all global sites. The solution involved migrating a massive volume of data, including 700,000 Catia files. The results were significant, with loading times becoming 40% faster and the release process accelerating by about 20%, providing more consistent and readily available product information across the company.
