KIRCHHOFF Automotive, a global development partner to the automotive industry, faced increasing complexity in its development processes and needed a flexible, multi-CAD capable PLM platform. To address this and improve its costing procedures, the company partnered with CONTACT Software to implement its CIM Database PLM platform and, later, the CONTACT Elements Product Costing module.

The solution from CONTACT Software provided a centralized platform for document management, multi-CAD data, and project management, enabling global access to consistent data. The integrated Product Costing module efficiently supplied all costing-relevant data to global offer processes, eliminating the need for a separate maintenance-heavy system. The results included shorter throughput times, highly cost-efficient projects, and a streamlined, globally available system for over 1,500 users, establishing a dependable open platform for KIRCHHOFF's wide-ranging requirements.
