Medline's experience with the implementation of Destinux for corporate travel management

Medline Iberia, a division of the large multinational medical products company, faced significant challenges managing corporate travel for its employees. Their previous worldwide travel agency provided limited booking options, poor emergency support, and caused major administrative problems, including delayed invoices and a complete lack of cost analysis tools. To solve this, Medline Iberia partnered with vendor Consultia Travel to implement its Destinux corporate travel management solution.

Consultia Travel implemented the Destinux platform, which provided a personalised online booking tool, a 24/7 personal travel assistant, and a comprehensive module for managing travel policies and approvals. The solution fully digitised and automated Medline's processes, delivering detailed, real-time financial reporting and cost allocation. The results were highly successful, with Medline saving between 13% and 24% on management costs, which translated to a quantified savings of between €238,000 and €432,000. The solution was so effective that it was rolled out across 14 European countries.
