Simultaneous Forensic Collections from Multiple European Jurisdictions

Global Electronic Company engaged Consilio LLC to support a simultaneous forensic collection during a Dawn Raid investigation spanning Germany, Russia, and Kazakhstan. The customer needed electronic evidence gathered from laptops, phones, iPads, and other devices, but faced uncertainty about the volume and types of materials involved, along with language barriers and jurisdiction-specific legal restrictions. Consilio LLC provided digital forensics and risk management/compliance support.

Consilio LLC quickly deployed three investigation teams with the required language skills and technical expertise to collect evidence in line with local laws, including handling German data protection requirements and using specially formatted laptops in Russia where encryption use is restricted. Working 24/7, Consilio LLC forensically imaged and secured all data within two days, also collecting six boxes of documents plus SD cards, USBs, SIM cards, phone memory cards, and NSF email data. The project then moved to a second phase in the U.K., where the data was filtered, processed, and hosted in Relativity for review well ahead of deadlines.
