Consilio LLC worked with Large Discount Retailer, which was facing a discovery request in a putative class action alleging discrimination. The retailer needed to produce thousands of pages of personnel records, each containing numerous pieces of personally identifiable information (PII) that had to be redacted, creating a significant review burden. Consilio LLC used an in-house automated redaction tool to identify and redact PII patterns across more than 10,000 pages of personnel records, then validated the results and made only minimal additional redactions.
