MacField Farms, a large macadamia orchard based in Rockhampton, Queensland, faced unreliable paper-and-Excel processes that caused double data entry, lost or damaged records, and poor data integrity—challenges that threatened their goal of low-cost, high-quality production. To solve this, the farm adopted Conservis’ cloud-based farm management software (Conservis) in 2018 to support permanent-crop workflows, task planning, and digital recordkeeping.

Conservis implemented configurable work orders, dashboards, electronic spray diaries and field data capture with on-site training and ongoing support. The result: MacField Farms removed paper-based processes, dramatically reduced data-entry errors, gained audit-ready records (including weather and chemical usage), and can now analyze two years of data to measure yield, harvest efficiency and cost per hectare by variety. Conservis’ solution improved operational visibility, labor and stock tracking, and helped the orchard become a more sustainable, lower-cost producer.
