Brueggeman Crop Services - Customer Case Study

Brueggeman Crop Services is a fourth‑generation family farm in Miller, SD, growing corn, soybeans and some wheat across 7,000 acres under brothers Reno and John. Facing a reliance on dozens of Excel spreadsheets, poor grain-inventory visibility, and fragmented data from Climate FieldView™ yield and planting data, they sought a system to accurately track grain, integrate equipment data, and calculate true cost per acre. In 2017 they chose Conservis to address those challenges.

Conservis integrated with the Brueggemans’ Climate FieldView™ and scale heads to deliver real‑time grain and inventory tracking, input‑ownership splits, planning & budgeting, and streamlined reporting for crop insurance and FSA. The platform eliminated much manual recordkeeping (effectively replacing one full‑time role), produced field‑level cost‑per‑acre reports, and prevented settlement errors — once catching a misassigned load that saved about $5,000–$6,000 — while reducing FSA reporting from a day or more to minutes. Conservis also improved accuracy, reduced human error, and made budgeting and profitability analysis straightforward.
