Stoneweg US, a multifamily real estate investor, needed to leverage building data to meet investor expectations and qualify for grants and preferential financing but struggled to capture quantitative ESG data—particularly whole‑building and tenant (scope 3) utility and waste information. To tackle this challenge, Stoneweg US partnered with Conservice ESG to organize and optimize portfolio ESG reporting and to support GHG inventory work and waste management improvements using Conservice’s services, including the WasteX solution.
Conservice ESG worked with Stoneweg US property managers to deploy phased data collection and manual metering, driving whole‑building data coverage from under 20% to over 80% (reaching 100% completeness in 2023) and improving scope 1 coverage from 43% to 87% and scope 2 from 20% to 67%. Using Conservice ESG’s WasteX and reporting solutions, Stoneweg US diverted roughly 5% of total landfill waste (~100,000 lbs/month), added recycling to 100% of its active portfolio, reduced contamination fees, and achieved a 33% increase in GRESB performance—while unlocking better access to grants and loans and laying groundwork for science‑based decarbonization targets.
