A Fortune 50 Consumer Product Goods Company wanted deeper customer sentiment insights about a popular product, but while Twitter was easy to access, its posts lacked the detailed discussion needed for product decisions. Connotate, working with text analytics partner Luminoso, was used to automate web data collection from YouTube and other online sources, where detailed reviews and conversations were more likely to reveal meaningful feedback.

Connotate built a Web Agent to monitor YouTube, follow relevant links, and extract review data in a structured format for analysis in Luminoso’s tool. The process took only 6 hours end to end and pulled 736 product reviews in minutes, giving the customer actionable insight into overall satisfaction and a key issue with battery life, helping inform future product enhancements.
