The Associated Press (AP) needed to automate content aggregation from member sources that did not support direct news feeds, while keeping the process efficient for the many AP members using its distribution system. Connotate helped AP support large-scale content ingestion and aggregation through automated data collection, as part of AP Exchange and its broader news pipeline.

Connotate implemented enterprise-class content detection, extraction, and acquisition to collect data and metadata from 350 AP member sites, normalize and index it, and deliver timely content for AP’s databases and mobile apps. The result was a major improvement in reach, timeliness, and accuracy, supporting news distributed to 3.5 billion people worldwide.
