A Connexall Case Study
Trillium Health Centre, the 13th largest hospital in Canada serving over one million Ontarians, faced noisy, inefficient communications in its facility: a centralized console, heavy overhead paging and staff spending time walking to locate requests reduced time with patients and hindered care. To address this, Trillium deployed Connexall technology to integrate Philips patient monitors and telemetry packs, Rauland IV nurse call systems and Cisco Voice‑Over‑IP wireless phones.
Connexall integrated those systems across Trillium’s renovated 136‑bed West Wing, decentralizing nursing stations and adding documentation pods so staff are closer to patients. Connexall’s solution provides instant notifications of abnormal vitals or system errors, reduces reliance on overhead paging by enabling direct wireless calls and two‑way acknowledgements, and is being extended to replace porter management—allowing direct requests and one‑touch acknowledgements—resulting in faster, quieter, and more efficient clinical communication and an improved patient experience.
