Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center - Customer Case Study

Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center, located inside Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Calif., set out to renovate and expand into a 55,000-square-foot "smart" facility that would reduce patient anxiety and enable truly integrated, compassionate cancer care. To connect environmental controls, patient tracking and clinical workflows the Center selected Connexall and installed Connexall technology to link RFID readers, AeroScout asset tracking, building management and VoIP systems into a seamless platform.

Connexall implemented an integrated solution that automates environmental settings and ambient experiences, locates patients via AeroScout MobileView, and dispatches workflow notifications to clinical teams so patients spend less down time between treatments. The Connexall-enabled system improved collaboration between clinicians, patients and administrators, allowed patients to move freely while being alerted when needed, and helped the Center win RFID Journal’s Most Innovative Use of RFID award.
