Engaging over 31,000 future STEM candidates

National Grid faced a significant challenge in inspiring the next generation to pursue STEM careers to meet a sector-wide need to fill 400,000 jobs by 2050. They partnered with Connectr to create a five-year program targeting socio-economically disadvantaged students in London through a blend of digital and in-person engagement.

Connectr implemented its candidate engagement platform and services to deliver workshops, virtual Q&A sessions, and a virtual work experience week, all supported by National Grid volunteers. In the program's second year, they exceeded their engagement target, impacting 31,352 young people and bringing the total number of pupils reached to over 50,000 towards the ultimate goal of 100,000.
