The customer, a leading airport in South-West Asia, faced the challenge of lost sales opportunities as passengers, including VIPs, found the traditional duty-free shopping process difficult. As part of a modernization program, the airport partnered with Congruent Info-Tech to develop a native iPad kiosk application to streamline retail and enhance the passenger experience.

Congruent Info-Tech developed a native iOS app integrated with the LS Retail for NAV Point of Sale system. The solution, built using Xcode and a PHP/MySQL backend, featured an offline SQLite database for uninterrupted operation. This provided a rich, responsive user interface for browsing products and completing orders. The implementation by Congruent Info-Tech allowed the airport to avoid long queues, ensure tight inventory control, and deliver a better purchase experience for lounge customers.
