Northstar Travel Media, a leading business information and marketing provider to the $30B U.S. travel industry, faced a manual, inconsistent process for creating about 120 insertion orders (IOs) and space reservation forms (SRFs) per month. Sales reps and coordinators were entering mostly the same data twice in their own formats, which caused duplicate work, branding inconsistency and slow processing.
By integrating Conga Composer with Adobe EchoSign and adding a Salesforce validation link, Northstar automated generation, signing and routing of standardized IOs and SRFs directly from opportunity records. The change cut roughly 20 minutes per order—about 480 hours (three working months) saved annually—sped revenue recognition, reduced duplicate entry and errors, improved branding and legal control, and increased Salesforce adoption.
