Charles River Laboratories, a global drug discovery and development company, needed to speed up a contract process that was slowing sales and legal teams, with documents and data spread across multiple systems. The company also wanted better business intelligence and easier access to agreement details, and it chose Conga CLM and Conga CPQ to support its contracting and quoting needs.
Conga implemented Conga CPQ first to automate annual pricing agreements, then rolled out Conga CLM across the business to centralize agreement creation, storage, and management in Salesforce. The result was faster contract negotiation and completion, less manual work for sales and legal, improved clause tracking and reporting, and stronger Salesforce adoption. Charles River also standardized about a dozen agreement types and used Conga to reduce cycle times and improve response rates through automated notifications and workflows.
