SulAmérica, one of Brazil’s largest and oldest insurance firms with roughly 6.3 million customers and more than five million daily events, faced scaling limits from legacy, batch-based systems that left critical data delayed or lost and slowed CRM updates. To modernize its stack and introduce an event-driven architecture across a large, regulated organization, SulAmérica turned to Confluent, adopting Confluent Cloud (alongside GCP and AWS) to replace brittle brokers and batch processes.
Confluent built an interoperability platform on Confluent Cloud that streams events in real time, uses topics as a single source of truth, and enables teams to consume clean, guaranteed data; SulAmérica reports nearly 300x faster delivery to the CRM (from ~24 hours to 3–5 minutes), seamless, uninterrupted information flow with no lost events, faster time-to-market, improved IT productivity and scalability, and growing adoption across development teams. Confluent’s solution therefore unlocked real-time analytics and operational agility for SulAmérica.
