A Confluent Case Study
Singapore Exchange (SGX) faced a strained, decade-old messaging layer as trading volumes rose and needed to modernize its core trading platform to improve latency, throughput, scalability and time to market. SGX selected Confluent and an Apache Kafka–based streaming platform to replace legacy message queues and support a new microservices architecture for its tier‑1 systems.
Confluent worked with SGX to deploy a secure, production Confluent Platform cluster (including RBAC, secrets management and audit logging), provide training and professional services, and accelerate streaming adoption; today SGX pushes about one million events daily, reports lower latency and higher throughput, reduced regression times, faster time to market and 100% uptime, with Confluent providing timely support and architectural guidance throughout the rollout.
