Risk Focus Delivers Order Management Platform at Top 20 Global Bank

The wealth management division of a top 20 global bank engaged Risk Focus to modernize its proprietary order management system, addressing needs for higher throughput (minimum 250 orders/sec), real-time multi‑data‑center replication, message recovery and sequencing guarantees, and elimination of single points of failure using a Kafka-based streaming architecture (implemented in collaboration with Confluent).

Risk Focus implemented a Kafka-centered, Confluent reference architecture across a multi‑region Active‑Active‑Active cluster with automated Ansible deployment, Confluent Control Center monitoring, SSL/SASL security, and a microservices layer (bulk entry, FIX gateway, HTTP order entry). The solution was validated with KSQL Datagen and AVRO schemas, proved resilient to a single data‑center failure with no message loss, met the client’s performance and reliability requirements, and was delivered on budget—enabling the client to handle orders for its entire product line. Risk Focus led the delivery, training, and operational handover.
