Nash Develops First-of-Its-Kind Non-Custodial Exchange for Digital Assets Using Confluent Cloud

Nash, a financial services platform, set out to build a first-of-its-kind non‑custodial, cross‑chain exchange that combines the speed of traditional trading with blockchain security. To link more than a dozen core services—including a deterministic matching engine that must replay event streams in exact order—Nash needed low‑latency, secure event streaming with minimal operational overhead, so it chose Confluent Cloud (built on Apache Kafka®).

Confluent Cloud provides Nash with a stable, low‑latency event bus and 100% reliable event playback so the matching engine can deterministically replay history for maintenance and upgrades. As a result of Confluent Cloud, Nash achieved extremely high uptime, removed the need to hire dedicated Kafka ops staff, improved development velocity with fast Confluent support, and unlocked new product plans (Bitcoin trading and payments) that reuse the same event‑streaming infrastructure.
