Intel Builds a Modern, Scalable Cyber Intelligence Platform with Confluent Platform

Intel faced escalating, sophisticated cyber threats and needed to modernize legacy security systems to detect and respond rapidly across the enterprise. To meet this challenge, Intel partnered with Confluent, deploying Confluent Platform and Apache Kafka to build a scalable Cyber Intelligence Platform (CIP) that ingests tens of terabytes per day and supports threat detection, vulnerability management, compliance, threat hunting, incident response, and risk management.

Confluent implemented CIP using Confluent Platform features (Control Center, ksqlDB, multi-region clusters, and RBAC) to enable high-throughput, low-latency event streaming and in-stream filtering. The result: Intel lowered mean time to detect and respond to threats, eliminated custom point-to-point integrations to reduce technical debt, cut Splunk compute and ingestion costs, and integrated disparate security data sources in near real time for faster, more accurate decision-making.
