Globe Group Slashes Infra Costs and Fuels Personalized Marketing with Confluent

The Globe Group, a leading telecommunications and digital solutions provider in the Philippines, struggled with batch-only ingestion that caused data loss, limited real-time personalization for marketing, and lacked self-service governance for data. To address these challenges it partnered with Confluent, adopting Confluent Platform (and later migrating to Confluent Cloud on AWS) to enable an event-driven architecture and enterprise-grade stream processing using tools like ksqlDB and Stream Governance.

Confluent implemented real-time streaming, topic replication, and role-based stream governance so Globe could decouple campaigns from events, build microservices, and enable self-service access. As a result — with Confluent’s managed Confluent Cloud and a 99.99% uptime SLA — Globe achieved real-time processing for targeted marketing, reduced infrastructure and manpower costs, and freed engineering teams to focus on personalization and innovation.
