Generali Switzerland faced growing customer expectations, tighter regulation, and a need to modernize an IT environment that wasn’t built for 24/7 digital demands. To support its digitization and modernization initiative, Generali turned to Confluent Platform and Apache Kafka to build an event-based architecture called the Generali Connection Platform.

With Confluent, Generali linked core data systems to business applications and channels, including Salesforce, using event streaming and schema registry capabilities. The platform was rolled out across the enterprise in just one year, reduced data replication and streaming times from hours or days to seconds, and helped IT teams work faster and more efficiently.
