BestSecret, a leading European invitation‑only off‑price fashion e‑commerce, needed greater stability, scalability and real‑time data access to replace legacy batch processes and support rapid growth. After adopting Apache Kafka in 2017, BestSecret looked to move from a self‑managed setup to a managed platform and chose Confluent — specifically Confluent Cloud — to reduce operational overhead and ensure a reliable event‑driven architecture.

Confluent implemented a fully managed Confluent Cloud solution with CDC and ready‑to‑use connectors (Elastic, Snowflake, Postgres), ksqlDB, RBAC and Schema Registry, centralizing messaging and operational metrics in Kafka topics.
