A Confluent Case Study
Affin Hwang Asset Management, a leading Malaysian asset manager with roughly RM 80 billion under management, faced growing strain from siloed legacy systems and slow batch processes that delayed customer and transaction data and risked inconsistent records. To modernize and accelerate its digitization initiative, Affin Hwang selected Confluent to introduce real-time data streaming across its multi-cloud environment.
Confluent implemented a Kafka-based streaming platform with a fully managed Snowflake Sink Connector and ksqlDB for in-transit transformations, plus hands-on PoC and training support. As a result — thanks to Confluent — deployment time fell from as much as six months to two weeks, day‑long data delays were eliminated (updates now appear in seconds), cloud warehouse costs were reduced, and new near‑real‑time product and partner opportunities were unlocked.
