Clearfield, Inc., based in Minneapolis, designs, manufactures, and distributes configurable fiber-optic management products for ILECs, CLECs, MSOs, and mobile broadband providers. Because nearly all products are configurable, Clearfield needed a Dynamics-based configurator that could automatically generate quotes, BOMs, and routing and allow customer service to quote lead times over the phone.

Using the Configure One Connect module, Configure One was integrated with Microsoft Dynamics to import updated item and customer master data and export sales orders and item records, creating a fully functional Dynamics configurator. The integration automated much of Clearfield’s quote-to-order process, enabled realistic delivery-date quoting by phone, and became a critical, long-standing tool for order entry and customer service.
