Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), the UK’s largest automaker behind the Land Rover and Jaguar brands, employs over 43,000 people and sells vehicles in 130 countries. Rapidly expanding model ranges, more legislation and a boom in customer options exposed limits in JLR’s legacy PLM/ERP systems and a tangled history of integrations, leaving them unable to support complex, lifecycle-wide product configuration or a single source of configuration truth.

In partnership with JLR, Configit developed Ace, an enterprise-grade configuration rule management solution that unifies engineering and marketing intent and integrates with Enovia, SAP and other business systems. Ace delivered a trusted single source of configuration information, a flexible and scalable modeling environment with concurrent modeling, testing and controlled releases, allowed phased replacement of legacy systems while still supporting downstream systems, and created a platform for future initiatives such as global websites, BOM validation and wire-harness optimization.
