Sidel, a global leader in liquid and food packaging equipment with over 40,000 machines in more than 190 countries, faced a fragmented CPQ process: its legacy configuration engine covered only part of the range while the rest relied on Excel and other ad-hoc solutions, leading to maintainability, performance and quote-completeness issues. The company needed a phased replacement of its CPQ stack to unify product configuration and speed up quoting.

Sidel implemented Configit Ace® SaaS (with partner Coolshop for the CPQ front end) to create a single source of truth for valid product combinations and enable end-to-end integration from engineering to sales and manufacturing. The result: configuration response times improved more than 100×, quote generation dropped from 15 minutes to under 10 seconds, and Sidel gained easier release planning, modeler-friendly tools and simpler integration with CPQ, PLM and ERP systems.
