Johnson Controls International (JCI), a global leader in building products, technology and services, faced a growing problem maintaining dozens of complex product configurators. With most configuration data in SAP and a legacy, home-grown system that couldn’t scale to web deployment, JCI struggled to keep rules accurate and faced a costly choice between rewriting everything or adopting an external solution.

JCI worked with Configit, using its Virtual Tabulation® technology and Ace Configure to extract and validate SAP VC data, which immediately exposed long-standing data errors and preserved rule integrity. The new approach cut development time significantly, doubled the number of quotes issued annually, produced easy-to-share VT files across teams, and is being rolled out to additional business units.
