A Configit Case Study
Royal Philips, a global health-technology company, shifted from being an equipment supplier to a solutions‑driven provider of integrated imaging, devices, sensors and software to improve patient outcomes. That change—from selling standalone products to multi‑modal services—introduced significant complexity in its go‑to‑market strategy and required a new way to manage product configurations across commercial, manufacturing and engineering domains.
Philips implemented a Configuration Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform to centrally manage all product configurations and views across channels, enabling transparency, validation and quality control before release. The CLM established a scalable, standardized “configuration management as a service,” improving speed, accuracy and performance and delivering measurable value across the enterprise.
