Driving E-Commerce Adoption with Sales Order Automation

Codale Electric Supply, a division of Sonepar USA with more than $300M in annual revenue and 300+ employees across 15 branches, faced low e-commerce adoption and heavy manual order entry. Customers had to recreate purchase orders in the online portal—what used to be a 2–3 minute phone/email interaction became a 10-minute process—and Codale’s CSRs spent large portions of their day entering orders by hand, leading to occasional errors and less time for customer-facing activities. To address this, Codale turned to Conexiom for Sales Order Automation.

Conexiom automated emailed POs into Codale’s e-commerce platform and worked with Codale’s team to onboard high-volume trading partners, delivering a quick, easy implementation. As a result, Conexiom made e-commerce easier for customers, reduced CSR data-entry workload, improved order cycle time, and lowered entry errors—freeing CSRs to focus on relationship building and upselling; Codale plans to expand Conexiom automation to more customers.
