Goodwill Industries of the Valleys cuts SharePoint backup times by more than half with Condusiv Technologies

The customer, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, was facing severe performance issues with their SharePoint backups and Kronos workforce management application. Their backups were taking up to five hours and would often time out, while their Kronos system became sluggish during peak hours. Additionally, excessive file fragmentation on their HP LeftHand SAN was causing storage volumes to balloon, requiring 40 hours of manual management each month. They turned to Condusiv Technologies for a solution using its V-locity I/O reduction software.

The solution dramatically improved performance, cutting SharePoint backup times by more than half, from five hours down to two.
