Bell Mobility boosts workload throughput by 98% with Condusiv Technologies

Bell Mobility, the wireless division of Bell Canada, faced performance bottlenecks and failing backups in its virtual environment due to excessive I/O overwhelming its servers and SAN. To drive greater value from its data and meet internal SLAs, it sought a solution to improve IOPS and reduce latency without major new hardware investments. They implemented Condusiv Technologies' V-locity VM I/O acceleration software.

By installing Condusiv's V-locity on its Windows VMs, Bell Mobility eliminated unnecessary I/O at the source. The solution's IntelliWrite technology prevented split I/Os, while IntelliMemory cached frequently accessed data. This resulted in a 98% increase in workload throughput, allowing processes that once handled 3GB of data in 24 hours to now process 9GB. Backups that previously failed now completed successfully at speeds 6 to 12 times faster. Condusiv's software enabled Bell Mobility to delay hardware investments and use its existing infrastructure much more efficiently.
