Freeletics fosters collaboration and democratizes user research with Condens

Freeletics, the No. 1 fitness app in Europe, had a core UX research team of only two people. Their challenge was to foster collaboration with a large number of stakeholders from different functions and to scale their research capabilities by democratizing user research across the wider organization, all while maintaining quality and building consensus.

Using Condens, the team implemented a real-time collaborative platform for qualitative research. The solution facilitated joint project design, simultaneous note-taking during interviews, and collaborative tagging and affinity clustering of data, which built stakeholder buy-in and trust in the findings. The structure of Condens also reduced project management overhead. As a result, Condens helped democratize research by providing an easy-to-use tool that enabled non-researchers to learn and conduct their own projects, with over 30 projects and 245,000 words analyzed to date.
