Rockwell Automation deploys 30-terabyte SharePoint records management with Concurrency

Rockwell Automation, a major industrial automation and information company, needed a solution to disorganized records and inefficient workflows within its legal department. The challenge was to implement a system tailored to its specific needs that would improve information security and records management practices. Concurrency, Inc. was engaged to provide a SharePoint-based solution to address these challenges.

Concurrency implemented a large-scale SharePoint 2010 records management solution, meticulously planning its infrastructure and taxonomy to be scalable to 30 terabytes. The solution automated records management processes, enabled secure collaboration with internal staff and external counsel, and delivered huge productivity gains through improved search. The project's success and scale were so significant that it led to enhancements in SharePoint that were rolled out to all users worldwide in a service pack. Following this success, Rockwell Automation is now exploring a company-wide SharePoint roll-out.
