Milwaukee Center for Independence (MCFI), a nonprofit serving children and adults with disabilities and special needs, was overwhelmed by millions of paper case records, timesheets, and invoices. Working with Concurrency, Inc., MCFI needed a more efficient way to digitize documents, improve indexing and search, and stay compliant while reducing dependence on file cabinets and physical storage.

Concurrency, Inc. helped MCFI deploy a KnowledgeLake ECM solution on Microsoft SharePoint, including KnowledgeLake Imaging for SharePoint, KnowledgeLake Capture, and KnowledgeLake Connect. The rollout took less than three months and enabled staff to scan, index, search, and share documents much faster, cutting timesheet retrieval from about 15 minutes to less than a minute and supporting the processing of roughly 6,000 timesheets and 2,000 invoices every two weeks, while also reducing storage costs and freeing office space.
