Rockwell Automation, a global industrial automation company, needed a better way to manage its internal legal and intellectual property records while supporting both onsite and remote workflows. The company wanted a secure, easy-to-use system that would impose strong structure for information security and records management. Concurrency, Inc. was brought in to design a solution using SharePoint 2010.

Concurrency, Inc. implemented a large-scale SharePoint 2010 records management platform built to handle up to 30 terabytes of data, with more than 200 site collections and over 500 sites planned and deployed. The solution automated records processes, improved secure collaboration with outside legal counsel, strengthened search and productivity, and aligned with Rockwell Automation’s retention policies. The project also uncovered SharePoint limitations that were later addressed in Service Pack 1, benefiting users worldwide.
