U.S. Army IMCOM MWR - Customer Case Study

The U.S. Army IMCOM MWR, responsible for soldier and family morale and welfare programs, faced a significant challenge with its fragmented and insecure web presence. With hundreds of independently managed websites across its global garrisons, the organization struggled with inconsistent branding, severe security and compliance risks from unregulated data collection, and an inability to centrally manage content. PortlandLabs implemented a unified solution using Concrete CMS, consolidating the disparate sites onto its Liberta Server platform.

The solution provided by PortlandLabs was a fully managed, secure multi-site installation of Concrete CMS, hosted on AWS GovCloud and granted an Authority to Operate by the U.S. Army. This gave thousands of content creators powerful editing tools within a framework of multi-step workflow approvals and compliance auditing. The results were substantial, with a 172% increase in web traffic, the elimination of security vulnerabilities, and massive efficiency gains, such as saving 80 hours of work on a single army-wide announcement.
