Home Chef, a Chicago-based meal-kit company delivering over 3 million meals a month, faced a serious contract management problem: important documents were scattered across personal desktops and only accessible to individual employees. A high-profile incident—when the head of Legal had to retrieve a contract while on a fishing trip because no shared copy existed—made clear that the company needed a centralized, secure way to store and access contracts.
