ZOLL Medical Meets HIPAA Compliance with Biscom Secure File Transfer

Zoll Medical Corporation, a leading producer of automated external defibrillators, faced a challenge in securely transferring files to meet HIPAA, PCI, and Massachusetts compliance mandates. Their existing solutions, Cisco IronPort and SFTP, were clumsy for users, difficult to maintain, and lacked proper audit trails. They needed a more user-friendly and auditable method for sending large files and restricted attachment types.

Concord Technologies implemented its Secure File Transfer (SFT) solution to replace Zoll's previous systems. The solution provided a seamless experience through an Outlook add-in, eliminated the need for SFTP sites and client software, and created the necessary audit trails for compliance. As a result, Zoll was able to fully retire Cisco IronPort, significantly improve ease of use for both internal and external users, and ensure they met all their compliance requirements effortlessly.
