Managing an Event Calendar Without the Help from IT

Hope College, a vibrant campus with 3,407 undergraduates and 80+ student groups, struggled with a master web calendar that failed to generate interest in its many daily events. Departments were maintaining separate calendars, including Google calendars and downloadable PDFs, which made event information hard to find and left the Public Affairs and Marketing team seeking a centralized, user-friendly solution from Concept3D.

Concept3D implemented Localist Events as part of Hope College’s website overhaul and move to a single content management system. The new calendar made event listings more dynamic and accessible, replacing static, buried listings and helping Hope College create a more shareable campus events experience, improving visibility for campus activities.
