Witricity, a company specializing in wireless power technology, faced the challenge of designing a flexible wireless charging system using magnetic resonance for applications like electric vehicles and medical implants. They needed to analyze the electromagnetic and thermal behavior of their designs under various conditions, such as coil displacement and the presence of foreign objects, to ensure both performance and safety.

Using COMSOL Multiphysics® software from vendor Comsol, Witricity simulated their coil configurations to optimize and validate their designs. The solution enabled them to confirm the system's compliance with safety guidelines and effectively scale their flexible charging technology for a wide range of applications.
