Schrader Electronics optimizes tire pressure sensors with Comsol, amplifying deformation and stress results 10x

Schrader Electronics needed to design a built-in tire pressure monitoring sensor that was both highly sensitive and strong enough to withstand the harsh operating conditions inside a car's tire rim, including centrifugal force and temperature changes. To meet this challenge, they turned to Comsol and its simulation software.

Using Comsol's Structural Mechanics Module and CAD Import Module, Schrader Electronics was able to simulate and optimize their sensor design. The solution from Comsol enabled them to create a more robust sensor that operates accurately and lasts longer by withstanding centrifugal force, temperature changes, and other factors.
