A Comsol Case Study
Mahindra, a multinational automotive manufacturer, faced a challenge with its fast-paced passenger vehicle design process. The validation of design changes for stabilizer bars and chassis involved time-consuming iterations between manufacturing teams, design engineers, and computer-aided engineering (CAE) analysts. This reliance on analysts for every check slowed down the entire development cycle.
To solve this, Mahindra's CAE analysts used COMSOL Multiphysics® software to develop simulation apps. These apps were deployed company-wide via the COMSOL Server™ product, allowing designers to independently verify stiffness distributions for various stabilizer bar and chassis geometries. The solution implemented by Comsol resulted in a substantial reduction in design lead time and enabled designers to explore configurations much earlier in the development phase.
