Cypress Semiconductor optimizes touchscreen design with Comsol simulation and apps

Cypress Semiconductor, a manufacturer of capacitive touchscreens, faced the challenge of optimizing their custom designs for a variety of applications and environments. To meet this need, they turned to Comsol and its COMSOL Multiphysics® software.

The solution implemented by Comsol allowed Cypress engineers to simulate and improve their touchscreen designs. Furthermore, they used Comsol's Application Builder to create simulation apps that enable colleagues to efficiently test and verify custom designs requested by customers. These apps were deployed via COMSOL Server™, making them accessible to a wide range of users and streamlining the design verification process.
