A Global Health Service Company (GHSC) running an enterprise DevOps initiative that includes mainframe teams needed an integrated IDE with program analysis and an intelligent editor to give developers immediate feedback while editing COBOL. GHSC already used SonarSource tools for distributed systems and wanted comparable capabilities for mainframe work to reduce rework, cut the number of compiles, and improve production quality while aligning tooling across environments.

GHSC implemented the SonarLint COBOL plugin into Topaz (and SlickEdit via Topaz Workbench) during a POC and rollout supported by Compuware and internal consultants.
