CPT Global, a worldwide IT consulting services firm, partnered with Compuware to help mainframe users improve performance and reduce costs. The challenge was to maximize the efficiency of mainframe systems while supporting growing digital transaction volumes, using Compuware Strobe as the application performance monitoring and analysis tool.

Compuware and CPT Global implemented a multi-phased approach to identify and eliminate inefficiencies through performance tuning and cost optimization. Using Compuware Strobe, the partnership helped pinpoint application defects causing excess CPU consumption, reducing hardware and software costs and improving customer satisfaction; CPT Global also reported that more than 70 Fortune 500 clients had already seen sizeable cost benefits and performance improvements.
