Mecklenburg County saves 81.5 FTEs with Computronix

Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement, a large government authority, required a robust enterprise software solution to manage its high volume of permits and inspections and to support its continuous improvement goals. They partnered with vendor Computronix to implement its POSSE software as their long-term permitting and inspections system.

Computronix implemented POSSE, which went online in 2003. The solution provided a flexible backbone that adapted to the county's complex processes. Through various programs supported by POSSE, such as online permit tools and automated inspection processes, Mecklenburg County achieved significant results, including an estimated $8-9 million in annual savings and the equivalent of over 81 full-time staff positions saved.
