City of Edmonton saves hundreds of thousands of dollars with Computronix POSSE

The City of Edmonton faced a significant challenge when an audit revealed its planning and development processes were inefficient and needed a complete re-engineering. They required a new software system to manage these undefined, evolving workflows, but no suitable commercial product was available. This led them to contract the vendor Computronix to build a custom solution.

Computronix developed a highly flexible and configurable business rules engine called POSSE. This innovative platform allowed the city to configure and adjust workflows easily as their new business processes were finalized. The solution was a major success, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars, expanding to over 3,700 users across all city departments, and winning industry awards. Computronix's POSSE provided the foundation for ongoing efficiency and innovation for Edmonton.
